The polypropylene cone is water resistant and the sealed ABS basket protects the internal motor structure from the elements. If you are planning on using this subwoofer in a boat, it is designed for infinite baffle usage so you can use the boat's structure for an enclosure rather than building one! With over 40 years of audio experience, MTX Audio makes sure and knows how to create quality audio in their products, and their Wet Series Subwoofer is no exception!
