The Kicker 49L7TDF122 is the big brother of the L7T family, featuring a 12" down-firing loaded enclosure that redefines what "shallow mount" bass can do. Built for truck owners and SUV drivers who need to keep their cargo floor usable, this unit combines Kicker’s iconic square-sub output with a rugged, carpeted cabinet that can literally handle the weight of your gear stacked right on top of it.
This enclosure houses a Solo-Baric L7T 12" square subwoofer, giving you up to 20% more cone surface area than a traditional 12" round sub. This translates to massive air movement and deeper low-end extension that rivals many full-sized boxes. The sub is kept cool via Forced-Air Cooling, which uses the cone's own movement to vent heat, while the UniPlate™ solid pole piece provides a heat sink for the motor during high-excursion sessions. The sealed MDF box is heavily braced internally to ensure every bit of energy is directed into pure, undistorted bass.

A lot of bass, minimal space!
Still waiting on my 2nd one I ordered to come in, but even with just one it hits just as hard and sounds a lot better than the single 12” Kicker CompR in a ported enclosure I had previously. I can’t wait to hear two of these L7T down firing subs together!
