Spl-Lab Mini Bass Meter is a new device for measuring sound pressure and voltage. This device is one of, if not the, most compact SPL meters available on the market today. The uniqueness of this device is in its capability to simultaneously measure sound pressure and voltage. With this device, it is possible to capture sound pressure at the moment of reaching the highest SPL value. The measured signal can be provided by both industrial equipment and acoustic systems. The device is simple to use and does not require additional settings and calibration. Simply connect the device to a car cigarette lighter for measuring sound pressure and voltage. The device can be attached to the windshield of a car and the measurements are taken while driving. The Mini Bass Meter is completely autonomous, which eliminates inaccurate readings.

Really decent little thing...
This is a nice, small, EASY thing to use. Really simple operation, with only 3 buttons.
If you're moving it around a lot, the cigarette lighter power plug CAN wiggle loose... But that's to be expected from one of those.
Sonic Electronix had a picture in the list, that showed a USB cable (to connect to computer, for updates), and a flash drive. This should mean that those items would be included in the package. But mine did not have those... That was part of the reason why I paid $5 more, to get the meter here.
I think all of these higher range SPL meters are overpriced, to begin with. But, I guess if you've got the monopoly on the market, you can charge whatever you want, right? You can get a cheap Db meter for around $20-$30... BUT, they only read up to 130 Db, and they usually have to be calibrated before you can use them.
All in all... This is a really nice little gadget, that works very well. No more guessing what my truck is doing. Now I have my base to work off of, and can see the improvements from future modifications.
