The BE-HON-CVCHB-G10 is a B.O.O.S.T. series enclosure molded specifically for the 2017–2021 Civic Hatchback right-side trunk cubby. Unlike universal boxes, it utilizes dead space, leaving your entire main cargo floor open for luggage or groceries.

Why should I buy this sealed enclosure instead of a ported version?

This sealed enclosure is hand-laid fiberglass designed for tight, accurate bass that complements the Civic's cabin acoustics. Ported boxes for this car are often too large; this design provides premium low-end without the "boomy" clutter.

Will the finish get damaged if liquid is spilled on it?

The enclosure is wrapped in OEM-matching automotive carpet. While the carpet is durable, the internal hand-laid fiberglass is water-resistant. However, you should blot spills immediately to prevent the carpet glue from weakening over time.

Will my hatch floor or spare tire accessibility be compromised?

No. Because it mounts into the recessed side panel of the trunk, your hatch floor remains fully functional. You can lift the floorboard to access the spare tire or tools without needing to unbolt or move the subwoofer enclosure.

Can I add more polyfill inside the enclosure?

Yes, adding polyfill can help deepen the bass response. For the ultimate setup, we recommend pairing this with an NVX VAD10001 amplifier and NVX 100% Oxygen-Free Copper wiring to ensure the pre-installed SMW10D4 sub gets clean power.

Will the enclosure get damaged from subwoofer vibrations?

No, the hand-laid fiberglass is significantly more rigid than standard wood boxes. To prevent the Civic's thin metal panels from rattling, we highly suggest installing NVX SDRF20 sound damping on the metal behind the enclosure during installation.
