XQ Series amplifiers are designed for audiophiles who want the ultimate sound quality and high-resolution audio performance. These are built with high-end components that balances reliability and longevity, and the need for competition-grade sound.

My factory bass sounds hollow when volume is cranked up. How does xBOOST solve this?

xBOOST is a feature exclusively intended for those with factory car stereos. It compensates for the low-end roll-off common in factory radios, restoring deep, rich frequencies. It’s the solution for getting aftermarket impact from a stock head unit.

Can I use xBOOST for my aftermarket setup?

We do not recommend using xBOOST when using XQA6001 with an aftermarket stereo. Unlike factory stereos, aftermarket units don’t reduce bass when volume is turned up. Using it with an aftermarket stereo would give too much bass and result in distortion.

Are Tiffany-style RCA jacks a big deal?

Yes, they are actually important if you're worried about loose connections. On cheap amps, RCAs can wiggle off the board; Tiffany jacks are structurally part of the chassis. They ensure a noise-free, pro-tier signal for the life of the car.

When should I use the Phase Control feature?

Use the built-in phase control if your subwoofer and speakers are cancelling each other out. It ensures they push/pull simultaneously, preventing bass cancellation and creating smoother, louder, and more cohesive low-frequency sound.

Does the XQA6001 also work for motorsport applications?

No. The XQA6001 does not have marine-grade and water-resistant elements to handle outdoor applications. For that, please refer to NVX's MVP Series and V-Series marine amplifier line.

How is the XQA6001 'Hi-Res Audio certified'?

While the XQA6001 is designed as a monoblock amp, the high-speed switching allows for ultra-low distortion (<0.1% THD). It prevents a dirty-sounding bass giving you musical, textured low-end instead of just a generic thump.

I hear a hiss when no music is playing when using XQA6001. What’s the fix?

That’s usually gain hiss. Since XQA6001 is Hi-Res certified, the noise floor is naturally ultra-low. Lower your amp gain and raise your head unit volume to solve the gain-structure imbalance.

I have a stock 0-gauge wire that I used for my current amplifier. Can I use this if I buy the XQA6001?

Yes, you can actually use a lower (thicker) gauge wire than the 4-gauge wire recommended for the XQA6001. However, you might need to order Sonic Electronix's

I'm installing the XQA6001 in a tight trunk storage. Will it overheat?
