The Axxess AXRSCH-CH8 is a vehicle-specific radio installation harness engineered by Metra to facilitate seamless aftermarket radio replacements in select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles equipped with either amplified or non-amplified factory sound systems.
When replacing the original factory radio in modern Mopar vehicles, you typically lose access to critical climate sub-menus, driver configuration options, and vehicle diagnostic screens because the factory touchscreen functions as a core hub for the vehicle’s data communications. The AXRSCH-CH8 serves as an advanced data bridge. It interprets the vehicle’s CAN-BUS signals to retain, display, and allow actual interactive control of these factory settings directly through the screen of a compatible aftermarket head unit.
