Unbelievable Quality
After a lot of research, I’ve come to learn about JL Audio, this subwoofer just reeks quality, it’s a shame to have to put something so nice under a seat and hidden from view. But as we all know it’s about sound too and that is where this sub really shines,
I originally was going to buy a self contained subwoofer amp combo, boy am I glad I didn’t, this sub rocks in my cut down box with only 0.35 cf of interior volume, that was the recommended cubic feet by JL Audio,
The fit under the passenger seat was perfect on my Sprinter Van and the bass is awesome.
If I ever buy any speakers again they will be JL Audio, if I wouldn’t have already bought JBL’s component speakers and Polk tweeters, JL would be my choice. Plus who knows, I still may change out the JBL door speakers for JL Speakers, the amp I’m running this sub with is a Alpine MRV-M250, which seems to be a perfect match. The price at Sonic beat out every other vender I found and also threw in a free sub box, great deal, I highly recommend.

Glad to own JL again
I had owned a 8W1V2-4 a few years back and it lasted quite a while until I messed it up. I then decided to go a cheaper route and get a MB Quart shallow 8. I had it for a year and decided that I wanted my JL sound back and the shallow was not cutting it.
I upgraded back to the newer version 8W1v3 and placed it in a .5 ft cube ported box in my 2007 F150. I am still tuning the amp and have not reached the full potential but cant wait till it does.
MAJOR DIFFERENCE!

Value for money
Little sub. Big boom sound. Never thought this small package will deliver. Can't go wrong with jl.

My first 8" sub
Given the space restraints in my car, this was the only size that would work. Sounds great for a small sub.

Great!
For the price, this sub gives everything you’re looking for in a sound system. From mid to low range it sounds incredible!

Great Sound From 8' Sub
Installed in a 23 Bronco with B&O sound system in the factory location. It is almost a direct replacement. I did have to trim stock sub encloser for it to fit. It was easy to do with a dremel tool, then resealed sub box with JB Weld. Paired it with a JL amp because factory B&O amp will not push it. Great sound, you can feel the bass through the driver seat and now the back window vibrates. Would definitely recommend if you do not want to lose any cargo space.
