Wow!
I had no idea what to expect when I ordered this component set. I initially had my sights set on something more expensive, but when push came to shove I decided to gamble and go a little cheap. I write this after 3-4 weeks of speaker break-in, and I am very impressed!
Highs are clean and clear, and after an initial harshness before break-in they've really smoothed out, providing accurate high frequency reproduction that's not terribly fatiguing, though my ears don't allow for super high volume listening (I do have the crossover set at the -3 dB tweeter setting). Mids are also very accurate and clear, and with proper spacing and time alignment you get a good sound stage, sounding like the singer is clinging to your windshield wipers. Midbass is the area where I was most blown away - you can get some serious thump from these 6 1/2s if you treat your doors (or rear deck, or enclosure, or whatever) properly! I'm realizing I need to do more to my doors to protect against rattles (listen to "Mysterons" by Portishead to find every rattle you thought you'd gotten rid of!). The sound is really pretty astounding from this price range, and they're going up against some really decent stuff from Polk Audio and Infinity.
The look of this set won't be for everyone, and the combo of the shiny woofer cones and the obnoxious white lettering on the flush tweeter mounts will be enough to turn some away, but I used the angled tweeter mounts on my A pillars and they look really good, and surprisingly subtle. Speaking of the tweeters, they're bigger than any I've had in previous cars, but that's by no means a bad thing and probably helps with off-axis frequency response.
As I mentioned before, I can't listen to music super loud, so I can't speak to peak power handling or durability (hence the 3 star rating on Durability - I have no idea at this point), but the 40W RMS my Sony MEX-XB100BT pushes is enough to make this component set come alive.
These speakers are great, and if you're looking for something a little bit different from the usual suspects, I heartily recommend the FC6.2.

1st Sonic is Best in Price & Service. I bought these to replace a set of Infinity component speakers. Quality on Infinity has Gone Down. So, I thought to Try out EARTHQUAKE SOUND. The Quality looks Very Good. The instruction could be better written. Have not Powered them up yet. You have a lot of Options for Tweeter Placement. They also Look Very Nice. Will have to give a 2nd review when I get them powered up. Specs look very good.
