The Kenwood Excelon DNN990HD has great features which will get you started on your journey fast and save you time searching for locations. With the Insta-Search and Insta-Route interface uses predictive text so you'll even save time typing in the name of your destination. With its trademark built-in guidance from Garmin you have features including 3D representations of terrain along your path and Bird's Eye junction view. This ensures your routes are accurate and easy to follow. When connected to the Internet, you'll also get real-time updates on traffic and weather along your route, plus fuel prices, parking information and more from INRIX. When not connected to the Internet, you'll still receive traffic updates from NAVTEQ in most metropolitan areas.

Wi-Fi On-The-Go!

Kenwood built the DNN990HD to work with Wi-Fi hotspots, like ones you can create in your car with your smartphone or a mobile hotspot device (data charges may apply). From there, you can take advantage of access to web-based content, plus your favorite media across several platforms, including your phone's apps, your social media feeds, and music you've stored online. Once you've set up a Wi-Fi hotspot in your car, the receiver connects to the signal; that gets you into the cloud, which is where you can employ connected services for music, video (when parked), social media, navigation extras like traffic and parking help, and more.

Car Portal for iDatalink

There is finally a real solution for Ford SYNC owners. Kenwood, in a collaborative effort with ADS (Automotive Data Solutions), a Ford SYNC customer can now keep the existing SYNC features in their vehicle. Features like iPod control, Bluetooth, Satellite radio and 911 assist. They seamlessly integrate with Kenwood’s advanced user interface and Garmin navigation system found on a range of Kenwood DNX receivers to communicate and display the on-board SYNC features of the car. The optional iDatalink interface/wiring harness will give owners of compatible Ford/Lincoln vehicles the best navigation option on the market by adding an affordable Kenwood DNX model as an alternative to expensive factory navigation solutions.

With Kenwood's new online server you can take full advantage of the DNN990HD's connected services. Once you setup your account the server allows you to access your cloud-based music files, email, social media feeds, RSS feeds and your calendar, all through the stereo. Sync your account with any number of web-based services you use, and then enjoy them through the receiver as long as you're connected to Wi-Fi. Another great advantage is you can add up to four separate accounts for other drivers, and the DNN990HD receiver will remember each user's preferences and content.

Bluetooth Built-In

If your vehicle doesn't have factory Bluetooth system then DNN990HD has you covered. It features built-in Bluetooth wireless technology that promotes safe driving habits by allowing you to have a hands-free conversation while you drive without the need to hold a phone. Incoming calls can be set to pick up automatically or at the touch of a button if you prefer to screen incoming calls. For outgoing calls, you can choose to dial out by scrolling through your phonebook on the easy to read display interface or by voice dialing if enabled on your compatible smartphone

System Expansion

Kenwood is all about system expansion. You can add a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner SXV200V1 (required and sold separately) to the DNN990HD and access a huge variety of sports, news, entertainment, and commercial-free music that satellite radio gives you. The DNN990HD also has a dedicated connection for a rear-view camera, so you can see if there are any kids or obstacles behind you as you back out of a tight parking space or your driveway. If you're a true audiophile and are looking to add amps and subs, there are three sets of 4-volt preamp outputs available, including a dedicated subwoofer output with level control and low-pass filter.

Video Playback

You can watch DVDs on the DNN990HD 6.95" screen while parked, and this receiver have video outputs that will work with your factory rear seat entertainment system. You can also use the rear audio/video output to add rear seat screens — then use the dual zone feature to let your passengers watch movies in back while you listen to music up front. This car stereo truly has everything you'll need for entertaining you and your passengers.
