Nice head unit.
This is a clean and sleek looking head unit. It boosted my factory speakers and sounds really good. The bluetooth sounds good and I like the fact that the bluetooth button lights up as a different color than the other bottons. I put the bluetooth mic right on top of my steering column where it is out of sight and was easy to run into the dash. The unit is light and easy to install depending on vehicle. I put mine in a 04 Mazda Tribute and it was impossible to remove the radio so I had to take apart part of the dash to remove it. The unit looks good, sounds great, has plenty of cool options, and a very nice little remote. The unit is made well and the buttons and knob feel like they are of good quality. The only thing that bugs me is that the display is hard to see on sunny days. Other than that I am very happy with the stereo! Delivery was very fast to El Paso, TX and the price was a lot better than local dealers so thank you Sonic Electronix!

Great choice, better value!
This radio is definitely what you would be looking for if you are looking for some nice features like Bluetooth connectivity, Equalization, native app support, and 3 sets of rca preamped outputs for all your sub support or other tech that needs connections. Would also make a good radio to put in a car for beginners, very simple setup and installation.
Overall, a great product for amazing value.

Great buy for the money
I love the radio. Installed easily. Works great. Read mixed reviews on line but for me this is a perfect upgrade from my factory installed radio that came with the car 13 years ago.

Good value
Overall this is a quality head unit for those who do not want or need the fancy touch screens. It has enough pre-outs to allow for some versatile setups and a good selection of features to keep most people happy.
The only real downsides I have discovered are the over-simplified equalizer (which is to be expected) and the difficulty viewing the screen during the daytime with a majority of the color options available.

Great Radio for the price
I would definitely buy this radio again. It was pretty easy to install and the brackets from my original Toyota radio bolted right to the side of the new radio and it lined it up perfectly. The only challenge came in installing the microphone for the Bluetooth phone. I wanted it above the rearview mirror near the center of the windshield so I had to remove the pillar cover and feed the wires down through the dash. The wire did not want to stay tucked into the headliner. I wrapped tape around the wire in a few places to make it thicker so that when I tucked it into the headliner it stayed up. Now it works great. The manual that comes with the radio is just a quick installation guide. To get the full manual I went to the Kenwood website and download the manual. I printed it off in booklet form so I could easily refer to it. It was something like 148 pages long. I printed it two sided and two pages per page of paper and it still came out 3/8" thick when folded in half, but it was worth it to get all of the information because not all of the controls are intuitive and the book really helps.

Love the bluetooth
I did a lot of research before I bought a radio for my car, this was the best bang for the buck I could find. I love the large volume knob, it's just the right size to always be within reach. I especially love the Bluetooth, and the microphone works great, though it does need to be set up in the settings or the other person won't hardly hear or understand. Overall, great radio, goes REALLY loud, and almost no distortion from it

quality unit
Quality headunit
pros-
great amount of eq options and the unit is very easy to use.
looks good
good rms power handling for someone that isnt amplifying their spits
trim piece in box fit perfectly in a toyota hilux using factory brackets and factory mount.
cons-
not sure if its just me but with my iphone on bluetooth, it isnt sending a signal to my sub amp, so if i want bass i have to use aux or ipod input, not bluetooth.
no rear usb port or rem+ wire (you will have to solder and heatshrink)
cant read the screen on a sunny day (dont have window tint)
Conclusion-
Although there are some design flaws/ things i would like, you will not get the huge amounts of features on any other product in the same price range
10/10 would reccomend

Awesome!
Just installed the Kenwood DPX500BT in a 2004 Toyota Tundra. It fit perfectly with no need for a dash kit, just used my factory mounts. I will say the trim piece that comes with it seems a little flimsy but its still nice since I believe its actually made to fit a Toyota double din hole. Wiring was easy even with the added Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control which also works great. It really made my shitty factory speakers sound a lot better but I will still be adding door speakers and a sub in the future. The controls are fairly easy to use after you get used to how they work. Bluetooth also works great! Overall a great stereo. This was my first experience with Sonic Electronix and it was awesome. Free shipping and great price! I would definitely recommend Sonic as well as this stereo.
Pros: Kenwood quality, expandability for XMSirius, Pandora, etc. Bluetooth and 3 amp preouts. Also the nicest looking double din out there.
Cons: Trim piece a little flimsy (be careful when attaching to stereo). Also, like other reviews have mentioned the screen is a little hard to see sometimes in direct sunlight.
