The W0v3 offers superb excursion capability, linearity and an overall performance output that puts it right at the top of its price class. The driver features a very beefy 2.5-inch diameter voice coil, a DMA-optimized motor system and JL Audio's patented Elevated Frame Cooling design - all purpose-engineered for enhanced power handling and reliability. What this also means, is your system will be immediately injected with the increase in output and better sound fidelity that one expects from a JL Audio product. In addition, excellent excursion capability and linearity allow it to reproduce sub-bass with striking extension and quality. When matched up with the proper power source, signal and setup the W0v3 is capable of a well rounded sound that is unparalleled by any other driver in its price range.
The 15W0v3 Subwoofer can be driven with as little as 150 Watts. However, for best audio performance it is recommended to run an amplifier capable of between 300 - 500 Watts of continuous power per driver, like the JL Audio JX1000/1D or JL Audio XD600/1v2. In addition, these subwoofers are optimized to operate in either a ported or sealed enclosure, needing only 1.875 cubic feet of air space in a sealed box and 2.75 cubic feet in a ported/vented enclosure. (Specific dimensions and figures can be found in the user manual, linked further below.)
DMA is JL Audio’s proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis system and is aimed at delivering superior dynamic stability and low distortion. As a result of DMA optimization, W0v3 motors remain linear in motor force over an extreme range of excursion and also maintain a highly stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. This leads to tight, clean, articulate bass that also allows for extreme linear excursion, phenomenal power handling and control, control, control.

Amazing amp from an amazing brand
I got this JL Audio JX1000/1D amp to replace my Kenwood KAC-9105D and I know the price is a little steep, but I know that this amp won't crap out on me like my Kenwood one did. I don't have any problems with the JL amp overheating or anything and it does exactly what it's supposed to.

Great Sub Maybe
I have never seen a bad review of this sub. I purchased this sub because of good reviews and the JL brand name. Nobody has mentioned a huge downside of this amp. There is no subsonic filter.
I am trying to put together a high end system and I am feeling uneasy about my purchase. I think I hear distortion because of subsonic noise. I would have chosen another option because this.

Plenty of Clean Power!
The JX1000/!D is another great JL Audio product that puts out plenty of clean power! The amp runs cool and continues to drive subs very well. With the price of the amp, the only addition to the amplifier that JL Audio should include is a RBC-1 control. That control would optimize all types of music!

Crazy Amount Of Power
I have 2 JL Audio 12W3v3 4 ohms(500 RMS a piece) hooked up to this amp. I have the gain all the way down, and have never touched the bass boost. My subwoofers flex extremely hard even with the gain all the way down, which is why I am scared to test the limits of my W3's with this amp by turning up the sensitivity. I have also hooked up my friends Alpine Type R to this amp and had to run to shut the music off because the sub could not nearly handle the power of this amp despite the amp being turned down so low. This amp is power hungry so make sure your subs can handle it!

nice amp
This amp can make any subs sound clean and bump hard. Pros are that it's really durable and it can get down and dirty and ive never had it over heat and shut off atfer hours of use. Cons, none.

For the price and the size of the amp u can't go wrong..its real small and it has a lot of power..i'll will give u clear and clean bass..I got 2 JL W5 flat spks on my 08 1500 Silverado crew cab and it sounds real good..
