Each component was hand-picked from the highest-quality materials for the highest in-class audio performance, that when used as a complete system, can achieve 192kHz/24bit playback.
Drawing inspiration from the AlpineF#1Status system, the HDZ-65C features a unified carbon composite cone construction throughout the speaker components for a unified timbre identity. Alpine Proprietary Double Gathered Edge Surround technology gives the speakers ultra-low distortion and linear diaphragm movement that reproduces music true to the artist’s original intentions.
Custom developed for Hi-Res Audio Playback, the HDZ-65C has an ultra-wide bandwidth of 55Hz-40kHz which is perfectly suited for accurate reproduction of even the highest quality of studio recordings. Each speaker component is designed to cover a wider range of playback spectrum giving the tuner a wider range of adjustability.
The Alpine Status speaker line features two fitments for flexible installation options including a custom-fit model for custom applications and factory-fit models that were intentionally designed to fit into most factory speaker holes without custom work. The HDZ-65C is a custom-fit model that includes a 6.5-inch Mid-Bass driver and 1.25-inch High-Range driver.
The Alpine Status System is sold separately and can be used to build a custom sound system. Three sets of true 4V preamp outputs are included to add additional amplifiers if more power is needed. For best results, install the complete Alpine Status system together as a full system to achieve the highest in-class audio performance only second to the Ultra High-Resolution AlpineF#1System.

Great sounding much like the old type x pro set
Sounds very similar to the type x 6.5 pro set it replaced which is 8 or so years old. powered off an alpine f4 amp. they rock. bass is a little light, but I contribute that to the pisspoor door pods I have. will be changing that soon tho. overall good comp set for the daily setup or some comps. I won't compare them to my morel elite 3-way set I have but for under $600, they are nice!

Not as good as I had hoped
For such an expensive speaker along with it being from Alpine my hopes were high. The bass from these is nice but the vocals and highs are lacking clarity and become distorted at higher volumes. My Alpine R2-S65C speakers that I previously had installed honestly sounded much better. They could handle the high volumes without distortion and loss of anything really. Probably going to switch brands and see what Focal has to offer.
