The Kicker 49L7TDF82 is a specialized down-firing loaded enclosure that packs the punch of a full-sized square subwoofer into an ultra-thin, low-profile frame. Engineered specifically for the tight confines of modern truck cabs and compact hatchbacks, this unit uses the vehicle floor to reinforce low-end acoustics while allowing you to stack cargo directly on top of the rugged, carpeted cabinet.
This enclosure is armed with a Solo-Baric L7T 8" shallow-mount square subwoofer, which provides up to 20% more surface area than a conventional round driver. This means it moves more air and creates significantly more "thump" than other 8" thin-mount options. For cooling, it utilizes Kicker’s Forced-Air Cooling system, which pulls in fresh air as the cone moves to keep the voice coil stable during long, high-output sessions. The sealed MDF enclosure is internally braced to handle high pressure, ensuring the bass stays tight and accurate without unwanted box flex.
