Surprised!
I have the dual 4 ohm version. They are rated at 900wrms but I have thrown over 1kwrms at it at 4ohm.
I am running two CT sounds Strato 12s in the rear in a sealed box and have this SoundStream 12 in my middle row where arm rest was prior. I have them all wired together up to 2.66 ohm on a 2ohm 3krms amp..
I have a stetsom Digital Bass 3k 2ohm amp. Running closer to 12.6Volts so getting around 2200 rms to the trio. Soundstream sub is keeping up with my 1250wrms statos with no problem. Still breaking in but so far a great find!
In a prefab sealed box at 4ohm at around 1k watts the sub shook all mirrors on my navigator. You could hear the bass outside of the truck pretty well also. It hits lows pretty well in sealed enclosure. I am sure it would sound great ported.
If i had known they sounded this good I would have went all sound stream subwoofers at this price point. CT sounds Stratos has a slightly cleaner sound but at 240 per sub they are a little more pricey but worth the money.. At 140.00 the soundstreams would make a great budget build. They also look nice inverted.
