Why choose the NVX VE-GM-SLVECG2-S10S enclosure instead of a universal box?

This single 10" enclosure is custom-fit for 2008–2013 Silverado/Sierra Extended Cabs. It fits perfectly under the rear passenger seat, providing 0.65 cu. ft. of optimized airspace without taking up floor space or affecting seat movement.

I placed the box in position, but it feels loose. How do I secure it?

Verify the box is flush against the seat riser. To prevent sliding on the GM carpet, apply NVX SDRLR20 sound deadening to the floor. This provides a high-grip surface and eliminates metal floor resonance for a more stable installation.

I’m hearing a whistling or air-leak sound after installing my subwoofer. What could cause this?

Air is likely escaping through the terminal cup or the subwoofer flange. Use NVX SBP10 gasket foam tape to create an airtight seal. In a compact sealed box, even a small leak will cause whistling and significantly reduce bass impact.

I installed everything but there is no sound from the subwoofer. What should I check?

Inspect the internal binding post connections. If using the factory GM radio, ensure you are using a high-quality line output converter like the NVX XPLOC2 to get a clean signal from the factory wiring to your amplifier.

The enclosure fits the space, but my trunk floor panel doesn’t close. What should I do?

In the Silverado, ensure the rear seat is fully clicked down. This box has a 5.75" mounting depth; if the seat won't lock, your sub is too deep. Using a shallow-mount sub like the NVX NSW104v2 ensures the seat frame clears the surround.

My subwoofer is working, but the bass sounds weak or hollow. How can I improve it?

Check your amplifier's phase switch. To improve low-end extension in this 0.65 cu. ft. space, add Polyfil inside the enclosure. This simulates a larger box volume, making the 10" sub sound deeper and more naturally balanced.

Is there a pre-loaded version of this custom-fit enclosure available to make installation easier?

Yes. The LVE-GM-SLVECG2-S10S is the pre-loaded version. It comes with a 10" NVX subwoofer pre-installed and wired, offering a 350W RMS "drop-in" bass solution specifically tuned for the 2008–2013 Silverado/Sierra cabin.
