Certified Output and Reliable Efficiency

High powered subwoofer applications tend to generate plenty of heat to the amplifier powering them. Music can only be enjoyed when an amplifier is on, and when an amplifier reaches high temperatures it will usually shut off to protect from it damage. The Kenwood KAC-8105D has a built-in heatsink to protect from high temperatures so your system can play longer without having forced intermissions.

With an impressive output rating of 300 watts RMS x 1 Channel at 4 Ohms, and 500 watts RMS x 1 Channel at 2 Ohms, this amplifier is CEA-2006 compliant so all wattage specifications are true to industry standard. Combined with their total efficiency and high power output, the Kenwood KAC-8105D is the perfect option for any compatible subwoofer application!

Good for 2 months.....

I bought this amp to push my 2 Kicker comp 12"
it worked awesome for a while, then one day the amp just didnt turn on, i re wired my whole system looking for answers, replaced all the fuses, yet nothing. Unless i get a replacement i wouldn't recommend this product.

Bang for your Buck

Amp pushes 500w RMS at 2 ohms which is perfect for my two MTX Terminator twelves that are rated 300w each so its giving them both a solid 250w. I've taken it on multiple 3 hour trips and has never overheated. For those of you bridging your amp and complaining about them overheating, you need to buy a monoblock. Bridging puts much more stress on the amp and you can get the same power output from a monoblock without putting additional streets on the unit. Sounds great for a low wattage system.

DOA

Amp powered on, but would not produce a signal to the subwoofer. Testing with voltmeter, multiple head-units and another amp confirm diagnosis.

Installation was time-sensitive so I have purchased another unit locally, and am awaiting RMA refund - will return to report on performance of new unit.

Great little amp

Outstanding little amplifier, small footprint for the output, provides plenty of subwoofer power for a full size extended cab pickup truck.

Good Start

I bought this as my first amp when getting started into the car audio game. This amp has held perfect for what i've put in my car which was a 10" and 2 12" Dual subs. I was pleased with it. If your looking for something cheap but good, buy this. I myself am stepping up my game and going from this kenwood to a Rockford 1000.1bd. and hopefully new subs once i get the cashflow

Awesome amp!

I like how durable it is and the ease of install. no complaints works as intended for my two 4ohm 250Watt subs. I simply connected it in parallel to get 2ohm connection at 500Watts. They could have remove the cover panel, its pretty useless.

This amp is fantastic

I hooked this amp up to two 12" MTX terminator subs and turned up the input sensitivity and LPF and they hit so hard. I took that setup on a 4 hour car drive through Illinois and the amp did not overheat during the whole trip (with the car running and audio going the whole time). Class D amps are the only way to go for subs and anyone who uses A/B is doing it wrong ;D
