Built with a strict focus on achieving the ultimate in deep bass, this family of subwoofers concentrates its acoustic output into a lower frequency range than conventional drivers. A large, heavy-duty ferrite magnet serves as the core of the motor assembly, providing the substantial magnetic force required to accurately reproduce powerful, low-frequency notes without losing control of the moving assembly.
To sustain high power levels and eliminate thermal power compression during extended listening sessions, the platform relies on an advanced heat dissipation design. The internal architecture incorporates a durable, 6-layer copper voice coil wrapped around a rigid aluminum former, which significantly enhances overall heat resistance. As the diaphragm moves, the generated air convection is systematically directed through optimized venting channels to cool the voice coil assembly, vastly improving power handling and ensuring continuous, undistorted performance.
Constructed for lasting durability, the woofer features a lightweight yet stiff polypropylene (PP) cone diaphragm suspended by a high-excursion foam surround. This highly responsive moving structure is housed within a rugged, anti-resonant steel basket, keeping the internal components perfectly aligned under heavy mechanical load.
