Earthquake Sound has released their new and improved Magma15X 15" Dual 4 ohm subwoofer, which is an improvement on the older Magma series woofer. This woofer is one of the top woofers in the areas of sound quality, power, and accuracy. Its 700 watts RMS power handling rating will provide truly deep and impacting bass reproduction, giving a whole new perspective on what you consider loud and booming. The use of a light flat piston reduces distortion at higher excursion levels, while the Turbo Cooled Technology offers lower thermal outputs keeping the woofer running cooler, louder, and longer. The use of a non-pressed fiber cone and 1" Poly-ether draw surround provides longevity, faster response and a lighter mass for maximum excursion levels. It's not always easy taking an old subwoofer that dominated the competition and make it better, but Earthquake Sound have done just that with their Magma X series subwoofer.

Clean Bass
I purchased this product with the Slap radiator, because of the great home audio reviews for this tandem. I was very pleased with the sound quality of this set up. It also had a decent amount of output. I usually run vented enclosures but wanted to see what this had to offer in this setting. Only issue is that you want to keep the power at no more than 1000 watts rms because it will run warm to almost hot. It is suited for sound quality in this paticular set up. If you vent it, it starts to shine for output, still not an spl winner, but I do not think they were sooting for that.
