Review
this head unit is really easy to use, super fast, the bluetooth is awesome, it is unlike anything I've used for the ken wood double dins before. everything about it is really good about it, except for the random reboot from time to time. i called sonic electronix about it and it seems to be a hit or miss thing on this years ken wood. they are allowing me to return it in exchange for another since its within the 30 days.

This unit is top notch, and did well on a recent trip I made. The navigation, traffic support and communications ability was to say the least great. This is to say also for the staff at Sonic Electronix. They do know the meaning of customer support. Thank you!

I did a massive amount of research before buying this unit. All in all.. this is a great unit and I am actually going to buy a second one for my wifes vehicle. I have owned other nav units and this is by far the best one I have owned. The start up is a little slow, but for me it's perfect because by the time I start the truck and back out of my driveway, the unit starts just about the time I go from reverse to drive. So for me it works. The menu response is great and the display is nice and clear.

Definitely a great product. Highly recommended for anyone. The EQ and sound adjustments you can make with this thing are among the best in the industry. A separate equalizer is not required, but with all of the features extensive tuning is required for optimal sound performance. The bluetooth audio function makes using either my LG Marquee or IV Gen iPod extremely easy. Call quality is great, and the response on the unit's touch screen is awesome. It's easy to update the software, and overall it functions oustandingly. The cons are sometimes there are connectivity issues with the bluetooth and especially the aha and pandora radio functions (may be my phone though). And it would be nice to use the SD memory for media (movies and music videos), so that my USB could remain dedicated to my iPod for music.

Great HU I recently bought a 2005 honda Pilot EX-L and bought this to replace the stock navigation and existing radio. I did the instal myself and I absolutely love this unit. The features that it has are great it works well and I like the Garmin interface. Over all exceeded all my expectations.

Having used a Kenwood DNX6960 in my 03 Harley Truck for over a year and being pleased with that Navi Unit, I decided to buy the DNX7190HD to integrate into my Gen1 CTS' 6-Speaker Bose Music System. I'm only using the units pre-outs as the signal source, as this method allowed me to keep the vehicles OEM Driver Information Center (DIC). Hence, I modified the stock radio and mounted the DNX 7190HD through the rear of the stock face plate... the unit looks factory.
I'm very impressed and pleased with the switching and access speed of the DNX7190HD, there's no lag time. Having Garmin GPS, the navigation system naturally works extremely well... I had the unfortunate opportunity to see just how well NAVTEQ's Automatic Rerouting works; got caught in Indy's rush hour traffic on a recent trip, the system quickly and easily routed me through the gridlock using city streets and got me back to the interstate quickly. Very nice feature!
The audio quality with iPod and HD Radio is pretty impressive also. iPod switching is quick and effortless. There are choices for displaying Album Art and the quality of the graphics is good and I like the flexibility for easy iPod searches. Given the number of color choices, matching one's stock dash lighting color can be easily accomplished. Haven't tried the Navi/Audio/Video Split Screen yet, but glad its available if desired. The Tilt Monitor is a very nice feature to help reduce/eliminate glare.
My complaints are fairly minor:
-Clock Display Size
-The size/thickness of the iPod Interface Cable is too large for my taste, making it more difficult to manage the excess in vehicles with smaller glove compartments.
-An auxiliary input would have been nice and useful addition. However, built-in HD Radio, Pandora, and Bluetooth Music Streaming are also optional music sources. Plus, XM Radio... if one ponies up for that.
-Prefer a hard copy Instruction Manual, not a media disc.
-Didn't buy the flag ship Excelon DNX9990 due to its lack of overall Voice Control.
