The best Kenwood ever!!!
The new Kenwood is truly amazing. The nav. is outstanding and the dvd player works like a charm. I'm just waiting on my IPOD adapter to come in. The IPOD adapter is a must. The system is very easy to use and understand. I must say again, that Sonic has the best prices and the best service.

Kenwood DNX7140
I bought this Kenwood DNX7140 for my 2007 Toyota Highlander. I have used two of the Garmin PND before so wanted to buy in-dash unit with Garmin maps. The maps are up to date and has fast route calculation. The audio quality is very good on all the formats that is being played, like Navigation, CD, DVD or Radio. Phone setup and pairing is easy, once paired it always remember and you can play your phone's music via bluetooth. Screen display resolution could be little better but its OK.
I recommend this unit and never had any negative point as yet.

Awsome radio. Love it to Death!!!
Just purchased this radio over a week ago. First noticed it on other web sites, but realize it was about $300 cheaper on Sonic Electronix. I ended up doing the installation myself which was very easy. Removing and replacing the dash in my car was another story. Nevertheless, this unit is worth every penny. I love the navi and ipod interface. AWESOME. Just a little bummed out about my BlackBerry Bold not being fully compatible. I am, however, able to use the call logs to make calls; just can't use the dial pad and phone book yet.
If you are considering purchasing this unit, please do so immediately. You will find yourself looking for long drives so that you can spend as much time enjoying this unit as possible.

Kenwood DNX7160 QUESTIONABLE
I have owned this radio now for 2 years. After the first year the radio started acting up. The cold weather seems to have an effect on the touch scene operations. The radio started turning off and on by itself without the vehicle being on. The radio is not compatible with GM vehicles internal computer, you will have to pull the radio when having your vehicle serviced. I do like the multitude of options this radio has offered. The remote could be more user friendly..

It's OK but failed after 11 months.
Has the potential to be a great unit.
Pros: Lots of features, easy to use, sounds great.
Cons: maps are expensive to upgrade, don't get all the garmin features (e.g. new voices), can be confusing to operate. Build quality is OK but my unit failed after 11 months of working fine.

good value
Great options and well worth the investment for older vehicles that do not have rear camera/sat radio/gps, etc etc. Biggest complaint is that it does TOO much and VERY hard to use interface (especially while moving). Bar at bottom of unit is very sensitive to touch and constantly hitting wrong buttons. That and the blue-tooth function is skittish, only 1/2 the time does my phone/unit stay connected... Still a good buy though.
