Astounding 7" Widescreen Color Display
The brilliant display of the new Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD is definitely something to check out. For 2011, Pioneer has enhanced the display for the Audio/Video receivers to a brighter and more vivid display. The Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD features a 7" WQVGA screen with a resolution of 480x240, which is perfect for all the movies that you will be watching. The interface is reminiscent of last years AV models, but has been upgraded for convenience. The menus are even more user-friendly and the GUI is smooth. The large 7” screen hides the DVD and SD card slots behind it’s face. With the push of a button, the display motors down to expose the slots or to adjust to the appropriate viewing angle.
Complete Audio/Video Playback
With the AVH-P4300DVD you will not have to worry about some files not playing back on the unit. The majority of the audio and video file types are fully compatible and ready for playback. For watching your movies, Pioneer has integrated DivX and full DVD support for just about any type of movie you want to watch. For audio, the choices are even wider. From your standard CD to iTunes AAC, this receiver will be able to play your audio files with ease. To top it off, the receiver has advanced audio decoders and equalizers that will adjust the sound quality until it is exactly how you want it. A built-in 96 kHz/24-bit Digital-to-Analog (D/A) Converter is just the beginning. Good in car DVD
I have this installed in my car and like it. Some minor inconveniences could be easily fixed if Pioneer would update the software.
In random play mode include a next random button.
Add in track seek or fast forward/rewind buttons.
When in list mode it doesn't grab all the file names, only the nearby ones so you get 'net ready' as a file name for other directories.
Add xvid playback support in addition to divx playback.

i put this in my 02 Monte Carlo and it just looks amazing. it puts out great sound quality compared to stock. only thing that bothers me is the plain background

Great value.
This was installed in a 2006 F-150 and fitment was perfect. Used it with the stock speakers and it helped a lot with sound quality. Good price for a good In-dash dvd player.

Spot On
I got this unit in 2009 and it's served me well for almost more than 3-1/2 years. It did everything I needed it to, except play videos via USB. It also lacked the ability to change the screen saver. Of course, there are better units out there 5 years later but this was solid. so if you run across a used one for a great price, don't hesitate to pick it up.
I changed the unit out in favor of a in-dash tablet set up but before that one of the rca pre-outs (the LF to be exact) stopped working. I read several things online about it being a Pioneer unit issue related to a pico fuse.

Awesome Unit!!!
I absolutely love this unit. Touch screen is spot on, not to sensitive yet don't have to break your finger to get it to work. Sound quality, video quality ease of use, all is spot on. Won't be disappointed.

Great Product Even Better Price
I was looking for a system for my new Trailblazer and during my search I say an as for Sonic Electronix. The radio is easy to use and works great. I loaded all my music on a 16 gig thumb and now I will not use my cd's as much. I also added the xm unit and it works great. Supper good sound and easy easy to use.
