What’s so special about NVX’s Y-Series subwoofers?

NVX Y-Series subwoofers are built with precision, offering a blend of sound quality, power, and durability. These sit between NVX’s mid-level and high-level subwoofers, making these ideal for those moving from a basic setup to a real power build.

Is the enhanced pressed paper cone better for sound quality and performance?

Audiophiles love paper for its natural, warm tone. NVX upgraded it to be stiffer and moisture-resistant, so it doesn't warp in a car door. You get the classic sound of paper with the durability of a high-tech composite.

I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop. Will YSW104 hit the ultra-low notes and beats?

Yes! It has a low Fs of 30.68 Hz. This means it’s naturally tuned to reproduce those deep, floor-shaking notes that smaller, cheaper 10" subs simply can’t reach. It’s a small sub that plays big music.

My dash lights dim when the bass hits using YSW104. What should be done to fix this?

The sub is just doing its job. At 800W RMS, your amp is pulling a lot of current. You likely need a "Big 3" wiring upgrade or a better battery to help your car’s electrical system keep up with this sub's power needs.

Can the YSW104 be used with a factory amplifier to save money?

We don't recommend it. A factory amplifier is a mere toy compared to this 800W monster. It won't have the current to power it, resulting in a clipped signal that could damage the sub. Pairing YSW104 to NVX's line of amplifiers is the way to go.

CompVR to this and the difference is insane

Went from an older Kicker CompVR to this and it’s a completely different league. G League to Steph Curry ha. Way better bass, still accurate and the crazy part is the price was way less. I did not think that was going to be the case at first, but I'm so happy. Never lookin back.
