That extra, linear motion translates to greater low-end output and deeper extension, giving BRV-S65C the impact of a larger driver while preserving smooth midrange and clear vocals. The result is crystal-clear, subwoofer-sized bass from a 6.5" component.
The BRV-S65C is impressive on its own, but the real magic happens when you pair it with Alpine's OPTIM8 DSP/Amplifier using OPTIM Sync, BassRev-specific tuning. OPTIM Sync intelligently applies dynamic bass boost and pre-EQ tailored to these speakers, safely extending low-end performance and smoothing tone to unlock their full potential. The result is larger-than-life sound a speaker alone just can't match.
BassRev components are designed to run active, so there’s no passive network in the box by design. When paired with Alpine OPTIM8 using OPTIM Sync, each driver gets its own amplifier channel and crossover for cleaner, more accurate sound. You gain precise control of crossover points, slopes, EQ, and time alignment, with no power lost in passive parts. The result is greater efficiency, consistency, and clarity than traditional passive component sets.
The specialized lapel cone shape increases cone height and travel, giving the woofer more linear excursion than traditional designs. That extra, well-controlled movement delivers stronger low-end output while keeping the midrange clean and focused.
