For 60 dollars got my 4 ohm 450 watt hifonics subs HITTIN... would recommend to anybody for more than decent power... and the blue accent lights are a nice touch at night

Sad Story

My wife was so psyched that she finally got an Autotek amp and some subs. We had it professionally installed and it lasted for 4 days then went into protection mode. Not quite what I expected based off my previous purchase of an Autotek amp which has lasted me almost 1.5 years now and still going strong pushing 2x12 subs. Needless to say, she isn't happy now and I'm less than impressed with the lack of quality expected from Autotek.

i had the amp for almost a month protection light came on trouble shot everything faulty amp very disappointed on another note amp would get hot powering 1 Orion 12 and one clarion 10 just the 12 hooked up amp was maxed out not enough power I would not recommend this product to any one

You get what you pay for

had this amp for almost a month went into protection mode got hot a lot not enough power to push one 500 watt rms Orion 12" sub not worth the money it will push one 19" sub fine though

Highly OVERRATED amp. Does not do stated output

I know that most amps that are not CEA-2006 certified rarely (if at all) does the RMS wattage they claim. This amp was no exception. I won't say this amp does not perform, because it does, Just long as you have realistic expectations. I expected this amp to do around 100 watts rms at 4 ohms. I used it to power two Pioneer ts-w301 12 inch subs. These subs are rated at 150 watts rms. I wired each sub to one channel as they are single 4 ohm subs. I used a ported box tuned to 38hz in the back of a ford taurus wagon. The amp was able to power them enough to get loud enough for my preference (I like my bass to be balanced with my music not drown it out). This is my work vehicle. and I didn't want it super loud like my deville (still doesn't drown it out, but is loud enough to where people say their ears hurt on lower levels)

I ran it off a pioneer deh-7400 hd deck with 4v output. I used pioneer 6.5 speakers all around (ts-a1671). The objective was to match my speakers and sub to the color of the vehicle, which is a royal blueish color just as the cones are on the subs and speakers. Now I am a pioneer fan (not of the stuff i used in this work vehicle) but the higher end stuff (think dex, prs, spl) anyways that is what led me to the autotek amp. It matched the color combo i was shooting for. Black and royal blue (the neon light on the amp).

When first hooked up I noticed like others said that the amp gets really hot FAST. I thought it would go into protect mode because of how hot it was. However, it didn't. In fact the entire time i had the amp. It never cut off nor went into protect. But it always got extremely hot. At first I was nervous and and checking it all the time. Eventually i got used to it and it was no longer a concern.

Later it finally did go into protect when i noticed one of the subs were bad. it stopped responding and the amp goes into protect every time i connect it.

So as of late I been running it with the one sub. Now previously I never had the gain set past 1/4 of the way up with very minimal bass boost. After my latest issues i decided to set the gain using a multimeter...

Now, i said before this amp is not expected to do rated, and after my meter test I realized at maximum gain, this amp puts out 21.2 volts which means at max it only does 112.5 watts rms at 4 ohms... mind you this is MAX so that means the signal is clipped. In others words its useless unless you want to blow your subs or speakers.

In reality you can probably only get about 75-80 of those watts safely. That is a stark difference from the 275 it claims to do at 4 ohms.

However, with just 56 watts of power my sub still sounds good. sadly though, once you crank it (35-40) its obvious the sub needs more power to generate louder and impactful output.

This amp is better suited for low power subs and high output receivers. If you are looking to power anything 200+ rms this is not the amp for you.
Due to the heating issues it must be mounted in a place with lots of ventialtion (under the seat is out of the question). Im sure this further hinders the usefulness of the amp for some.

Hope this long review helped someone as I know it would've helped me had I seen one similar

decent amp for the money

first off this amp does no where near its rated which is obvious by price. i measured it and it put out roughly 50 watts a channel at 4 ohms and bout 120 ish bridged. with that being said this was used to run 2 150 rms 12s from pioneer.. the blue cones. sounded great in my wagon as it was the first system installed at the time. this little amp would get really hot but not once would it ever cut off. its durable indeed. it made the subs loud for what they were and i never had a complaint. amp is much better suited for speaker duty. id recommend it for that and that only.
