These next-generation R2-Series Subwoofers feature larger, double-stacked magnets, which results in an increase of 5%-8% more motor strength in the subwoofer compared to the previous generation. This increase in motor strength produces a wider frequency band in the subwoofer, which will in turn play deeper bass with more authority. The new R2 design also delivers improved control over the moving subwoofer cone for tighter, cleaner bass response. The new design and enhanced performance of the next-generation R2-Series subwoofers results in a cleaner, more controlled bass response from the Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink. The ported enclosures feature an optimized vent and rounded internal port edges that maximize the output performance of the subwoofer, for deeper, reliable bass.

Easy installation and works as expected. Disassembles easily for flush mount behind dash, which makes for a very clean install. Just plug it in and it works. It definitely has the dead spot as mentioned on other reviews, but was expecting that. Rux-knob.2 has a higher db adjustment as compared to the original model (20db vs 12db). Worth having installed on your system!

Good entry level amplifier

The following review is for S-A60M, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

This amp is basic when it comes to features, but outstanding when it comes to sound. I push mine pretty hard at 2ohm powering an older type R 10 inch in a ported enclosure that can handle up to 1000rms of power. It slams pretty hard, makes the sub really move, and provides a clean, punchy sound. Barely warms up pushing the power-hungry type R. If you powered 2 lower RMS subs with this amp like the Type S, you will have enough bass to rattle your trunk and mirrors with ease. I purchased the RUX-Knob with mine. Which I think is a must-have.
