The PA D4000.4 is Polk Audio's new high-efficient digital 4-channel amplifier. This amplifier is perfect for providing the correct amount of power to a complete four speaker upgrade to your car audio system. The ability to bridge channels will give you more options on amplifying other applications such as subwoofers. This 4-channel can do amplify anything from high-end speakers to 4 entry level subwoofers.
How does Polk Audio improve on their already popular and very well known PA D series amplifiers? With technology advances, Polk Audio has taken their PA D series into the digital amplification arena. This means a smaller foot print, a super-efficient design which allows for lower power consumption and does away with a larger power supply. This allows the new digital PA D series amplifiers to run far more efficiently with lower distortion and cutting or clipping. The new PA D Digital series amplifiers are available in a monoblock, 2-channel, 4-channel, and 5-channel configuration making them accessible for any application. With a height of under 2 inches for all four configurations, these amplifiers also offer a mounting convenience making them practically perfect for any vehicle. All four configurations feature a 4-way protection circuitry and stainless steel hardware that will not corrode, giving the amplifier longevity and a sleek and stylish look. Excellent little amp!
I picked this up about 6 months ago, to go along with the PA D1000.1 sub amp.
Pros: it's tiny, powerful and very clean sounding. Nice looking too.
Con: It's a bit more expensive than it's competitors.
If you have the money, do it. I love this thing!

WOW!
Just received my amplifier today and i am just downright impressed by this amp. The size of the 4000.4 is just amazing considering how much power it produces. Hooked it up to some infinity 6x9's and pioneer 4x6's and thought i was going to blow them! The sound was crystal clear, got insanely loud, and sounded a ton better than my old Hifonics 4ch. Another great addition is the 0 gauge power and ground adapters. Great to give this power hungry amp the power it needs. Was skeptical at first because i never bought anything Polk but in the end NO REGRETS at all! If 50 watts rms is not enough for your speakers, upgrade to this amp just be sure you have quality speakers.

So far so good!
Bought this for our river boat, it's installed in the bathroom(no moisture). Ran it in 123 degree temp full volume for an hour, never shut down and was not much above ambient temps. Very impressed...

Money well spenr
Always been a fan of Polk, grew up with it and its also my home theatre system. After seeing thr PAD4000.4 i thought this would bbe a nice addition to my car stereo system. Install was easy and its really loud and clear. Love it!
