VMAX series subwoofers, like the VMAX104, has been the most popular, award-winning, series of Cerwin-Vega subwoofers for the last 10 years for many reasons. The series of subwoofers are offered in a 10", 12", and 15" size with each respective size having the option of a Dual 2 ohm or Dual 4 ohm voice coil. They offer a power rating of 1000 watts peak and 500 watts of continuous RMS power making them your daily "ground-pounders". With these many different sizes and impedance options, these woofers offer versatility and a significant amount of bass that is sure to fit anyone's bass needs. The woofers feature a composite polypropylene cone and a wider larger than normal rubber surround for increased excursion level, performance, quality, and strength. The use of O2 Cast technology increases basket strength and lowers basket resonance, which also increases the quality and performance of the subwoofers. The woofers also feature cross-flow window venting that reduces voice coil temperatures and radial contact convex domes that reduce cone flex and minimize distortion. Cerwin Vega Vmax104
This was a great product, hit really well and sounded crisp. Unfortunately after bumping it for 6 months the cone separated from the surrounding. Sending it in now for the warranty.

V-Max104
This subwoofer is really nice! I bought it a couple of months ago and i love it! I made a sealed fiberglass box for it at 1.35cubic feet of airspace and it pounds out the lows incredibly! This thing LOVES to move so be careful when making or choosing your box. I am running a true 550watts Rms to it and it holds up fine just watch out for bottoming.
It sounds great everywhere! It really loves the lows but it bumps out the higher stuff equally well.
I promise you will love this sub. It looks great, is made incredibly well, Cerwin-Vega is very helpful if you need any advice (i asked them about my box size)
Great price, Great finish, Great sound.... It rocks! Oh mounting size is a bit different than other 10s so watch out when you are making a speaker ring or getting a prefab. You may get either a too large of a hole or too small.

it sounds as sleek as it looks. very clean sound, has great lows for a 10, very loud. ive been giving it about 50 watts more rms than recommended for six months, and still pounds and the coil is not even loose

Nice sub, very clean sound
I ownded this sub for many years and I never regret it. I made a sealed enclosure up to specs and it produced very clean bass with great lows. Too bad my mechanic "misplaced" something on the cone and has a big hole in it... Looking for a replacement, thinking of two Idmax 12". But for someone that doesn't have that much space and still wants a nice sounding subwoofer than this is it!
