The JL Audio VX800/8i is a high-density, reference-grade 8-channel amplifier from the flagship VXi series. It is arguably the most versatile amplifier in the lineup, capable of powering a full active 4-way system, a complex multi-speaker surround setup, or a combination of speakers and small subwoofers. It combines NexD2 switching technology with a triple-core AKM Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to provide studio-quality sound control in a compact, unibody chassis.
Technically, the VX800/8i is designed to eliminate the need for an external processor. Every output channel features 10 bands of parametric EQ, time alignment, and flexible crossover slopes up to 48 dB/octave. It is fully configurable via JL Audio’s TüN software, allowing you to bridge channels to create a 200-watt powerhouse for demanding drivers.

Great amp but……
The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the cheap plastic connector for the digital input. Mine broke day 1 and now I get intermittent sound. You would think something so critical would be reinforced or build into the housing better especially on a $1,700+ amp. My pac pro even has something more robust and reliable.
