I want big bass but have a stock alternator. Is NDA12001's 1200W RMS too much?

1200W RMS can be considered as peak stock limit. It hits hard enough to shake your mirrors but won't kill your battery. It’s already great for big bass without the $500 cost of a high-output alternator.

My lights flicker when the bass hits. What’s the fix?

Check your ground first, then do the "Big 3" upgrade. Upgrading your battery and alternator wires is the solution to voltage drops, keeping your lights steady and your bass powerful.

My previous amplifier uses an 8-gauge wire, but I want a more powerful amplifier. Can my stock wire work with NDA12001?

Not at all. NDA12001 requires a 4-gauge wire. Using a lower gauge wire increases electrical resistance, leading to potential safety hazards like fires and equipment failure. Shop for 4-gauge wires through Sonic Electronix.

How does the NDA11005 stop the burning smell from my subwoofer?

Check your crossover filters. Clipping causes heat. Use the filter to cut out frequencies your box can't play. You might also want to check your subwoofer if they're toasted and needs a replacement.

I noticed the 'clipping' LED indicator of the NDA12001 turned on for quite some time now. Is it normal?

It should never stay on. If it's solid, you're frying your voice coils with distortion. The clipping indicator should only turn on during a square wave signal that could destroy your drivers.

Will the NDA12001 fit in the side panel of my trunk?

NDA12001 is surprisingly compact. If your space measures more than 10" then you're good to go in installing the amplifier there.

I have this in a car that only gets driven on the weekends, But so far it seems to be Keeping Up with my music demands. I can't speak for durability Since I have only listened to it a few times. What is noteworthy is that all literature and specs are calling for 1/0 gauge power wire, But the amplifier only accepts 4 gauge.

Nice little amp

I purchased this same amp $96, it was a open box, so it was a discount. Looks pretty nice. I'm gonna wire 2 10" Skar SDR's to 1 ohm. And I also ordered a tru spec 10" box also. This thing is gonna hit super hard in my 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, and I might add a small secondary battery to keep the voltage up if I have to. I'm gonna take pictures after I get everything installed.
