My factory bass sounds hollow when volume is cranked up. How does xBOOST solve this?

xBOOST is a feature exclusively intended for those with factory car stereos. It compensates for the low-end roll-off common in factory radios, restoring deep, rich frequencies. It’s the solution for getting aftermarket impact from a stock head unit.

Can I use xBOOST for my aftermarket setup?

We do not recommend using xBOOST when using XQA16005 with an aftermarket stereo. Unlike factory stereos, aftermarket units don’t reduce bass when volume is turned up. Using it with an aftermarket stereo would give too much bass and result in distortion.

Are Tiffany-style RCA jacks a big deal?

Yes, they are actually important if you're worried about loose connections. On cheap amps, RCAs can wiggle off the board; Tiffany jacks are structurally part of the chassis. They ensure a noise-free, pro-tier signal for the life of the car.

I am hearing hissing noises in my tweeters. Is it the amplifier?

Check your gains. Since this is Hi-Res certified, the amp itself is ultra-quiet. Lower the amp gain and use the 10V input capability of the XQA16005 to solve noise floor issues from your source.

How do I stop my door speakers from popping?

The XQA has built-in soft start circuitry. It solves the problem of turn-on thumps, gradually waking up the system over 2 seconds to protect your expensive Hi-Res components.

Does the XQA16005 also work for motorsport applications?

No. The XQA16005 does not have marine-grade and water-resistant elements to handle outdoor applications. For that, please refer to NVX's MVP Series and V-Series marine amplifier line.

I noticed the 'clipping' LED indicator of the XQA16005 turned on for quite some time now. Is it normal?

It should never stay on. If it's solid, you're frying your voice coils with distortion. The clipping indicator should only turn on during a square wave signal that could destroy your subwoofer.

I have a stock 4-gauge wire that I used for my current amplifier. Can I use this if I buy the XQA16005?

XQA16005 requires a 1/0-gauge power and ground wire as it operates on a higher power rating. Using a lower gauge wire increases electrical resistance, leading to potential safety hazards like fires and equipment failure.

I'm installing the XQA16005 in a tight trunk storage. Will it overheat?

Probably not. Its Class D design is ultra-efficient, turning power into music rather than heat. The heavy-duty chassis acts as a heat sink to solve thermal issues in compact spaces.
