Great amp/dsp, contol of dsp is a set back
I couldn't imagine using a separate dsp, amp, and other integration equipment to retain the factory head unit in my ram. My head unit has settings for my air suspension that would obviously never be retained by any aftermarket head unit. So integration was a necessity and this audio control amp made it possible and far easier than any other product I have seen to date. The ability to receive an amplified input and use them to create any type of output, including control of an RCA output for a separate sub amp is very user-friendly. I do wish the ability to use a Bluetooth dongle was built into the d-4.800 like the d-6.1200. Having to use the hardwired USB interface to connect to the amps DSL is the biggest drawback of this amplifier.

I couldn't imagine using something like this 20+ years ago, but I am glad we have it now. The amount of settings you can change while sitting in the drivers seat is pretty awesome, plus you can visually and audibly see and hear those changes in real time. Pretty cool stuff, and the Amp itself is powerful too, and I like the disconnectable speaker terminals. Makes for a neat and easy installation.

The DSP settings alone make this purchase worth it. The power output for the 4 channels is the icing on the cake. I was able to verify the RMS rating and I am not having any problems running 3 ohm speakers at their max level and the just keeps on pushing no problems at all. Time alignment and EQ settings work great and add that extra flexibility to my system. I run the line level out to my audio control mono amp to run my sub and my wiring is very minimal thanks to all the features of this amp.
