The ultra-versatile XDM800/8 delivers eight channels of crystal-clear, full-range power and is capable of delivering a whopping 100 watts to each of its channels @ 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). The technology that makes this much power possible in such a compact chassis is our advanced NexD™ high-speed switching design, which permits full bandwidth Class D operation with extremely low distortion and remarkable efficiency. Suitable for car or boat installations, the XDM800/8 is built with marine-grade materials and features an exclusive, dual-mode input filter for noise-free performance in boats or cars. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is also onboard for easy factory system upgrades.

My speakers are "hissing" even when the volume is low. How do I fix this?

This is likely "Gain Hiss." Check the "Input Voltage" switch. If using RCA cables from an aftermarket radio, set it to "Low." If using factory speaker wires, set it to "High." Improper settings force the amp to amplify floor noise.

Can I bridge this 8-channel amp to power a 4-speaker high-power system?

Yes. You can bridge any pair (1/2, 3/4, etc.) to get 200W x 4 at 4 ohms. Connect the speaker (+) to the left channel (+) and the speaker (-) to the right channel (-). Note: Bridged channels are not stable at 2 ohms.

The amp turns on but I have no sound on channels 7 & 8. What’s wrong?

Check the "Input Mode" switch. If you only have 2 or 4 RCA cables connected, ensure the switch is set to "2 Ch." or "4 Ch." This internally routes the signal to all 8 channels so you don't need Y-adapters.

Why does the "Status" light turn Red and the sound cut out at high volume?

This is "Low-Voltage Protection." The XDM800/8 draws significant current. Ensure you are using 4-gauge 100% Copper (OFC) wire. If your ground is to a thin or painted metal surface, the voltage will drop and trigger a shutdown.

Can I use this in a boat? It says "Marine" but also "Car."

Yes. The "XDM" series is dual-purpose. It features marine-grade coated circuit boards to prevent corrosion from humidity. However, it is not waterproof—it must be mounted in a dry location away from direct water spray.

How do I set the "Filter Frequency" for my door speakers?

Set the "Filter Mode" to HP (High-Pass). Turn the dial to approximately 80Hz. This protects your 6.5" speakers from deep bass frequencies that cause distortion and potential damage at high volumes.

I’m using a Remote Level Control (HD-RLC), but it only affects some speakers. What to do?

The HD-RLC knob (sold separately) only controls the levels for the specific channel bank it is assigned to via the "Remote Level" switch. Ensure the switch for each channel pair you want to control is toggled to "On."

My factory radio doesn't have a "Remote" wire. How do I turn the amp on?

The XDM800/8 features Signal Sensing. Set the "Turn-on Mode" switch to "Offset" (for factory head units) or "Signal" (for standard audio). This wakes the amp up automatically when it detects music on the input wires.
